Do you have a good side?
None of us is perfect, everybody has an natural imbalance, it will change over time as we use our body differently, that’s why one side of my body is different than the other. In my daily practice, I never stop improve my good side, on the other hands, I spend more time and put extra effort on my bad side, cause I am constantly striving to maintain both sides of my body equal in strength and flexibility to promote balance.
“Yoga is all about balance.”
It’s not meaning how we improve our balance skill in crow pose or any inversion posture, one of the goal of yoga is aware of our body’s misalignment in the first place.
你身體有「好」的一邊嗎?
沒有人是完美,每個人的身體天生總會有點不平衡,而隨著年歲增長和我們的生活習慣,這些不平衡會更加明顯,因此當我們剛開始接觸瑜伽時,總會發現自己身體有一邊是比較柔軟靈活,或者有一邊是比較穩定有力。在我日常的瑜伽練習裡,我會保持訓練「好」的一邊,並花更多時間在比較差的一邊,好使身體兩邊都達致平衡的成長。
常言道:「瑜伽是目的是為了達致平衡。」這句說話的意思不是指我做烏鴉式或者倒立時要保持多久不跌下來,瑜伽其中一個中心思想是幫助我們身體修正錯誤的地方。
